The Webinar was organized by CAYMET’s Siddhant College of Pharmacy, Sudumbare, Pune, M.S. in association with Ateos Foundation of Science Education and Research, Sudumbare, Pune, M.S., India. Principal of CAYMET Siddhant College of Pharmacy, Sudumbare, Pune, M.S.

Dr. Rahul K. Dumbre was the Convener for the Webinar and Dr. Amit G. Nerkar, Professor and Research Head, Siddhant College of Pharmacy and Founder and Director, Ateos Foundation of Science Education and Research, Pune, M.S., India was the Co-convener for the Webinar. Mrs. Trupti Kajale, Assistant Professor, CAYMET’s Siddhant College of Pharmacy and Mrs. Rabiya Patel, Assistant Professor, CAYMET’s Siddhant College of Pharmacy were the Co-ordinators.

Dr. Kavita Lole, Dy. Director, National Institute of Virology, Pune, M.S. was the Chief Guest/ Guest of Honour.

Dr. M. Karthikeyan, Senior Principal Scientist and National Head, Bioinformatics gave the Key note Address.

Inauguration function

The session started with the nauguration speech from the Convener, who elaborated the importance of the inter-alia of Pharmaceutical, Biological and Chemical Sciences for therapeutics and medicine. Also he elaborated the significance of Pharmacy and introduction to CAYMET Siddhant College of Pharmacy, Sudumbare, Pune, M.S., India. The sessions started with Chief Guest speech on 15th Oct 2022.

Speech by the Chief Guest

The introduction to work carried out at National Institute of Virology was emphasized by Dr. Kavita Lole and she also delivered the Talk on Virology and importance in Biological Sciences. The Talk was from Recent advances in Biological Sciences.

Keynote address

Dr. M. Karthikeyan elaborated and discussed the importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in drug Karthikeyan. Dr. Karthikeyan delivered the talk on AI and its applications in drug discovery. The delegates received the technical notes of AI and its application in drug discovery through his talk. The talk was from Recent advances in Chemical Sciences.

Speaker Sessions

Recent advances in biological sciences

Dr. Yogesh S. Banginwar, Assistant Professor and NAAC Coordinator, Dept. of Microbiology, Arts and Science College, Pulgaon, M.S., India delivered a talk on recent advances in biological sciences with emphasis of Microbiology in various fields from agriculture to medicine.

Stress management

Dr. Narendra Gowekar, Professor and HoD, PG Departemt, CAYMET’s Siddhant College of Pharmacy, Sudumbare, Pune, M.S., India delivered a lecture on Stress management with importance on handling the stress and anger in the worst situations and increasing the quality of lifestyle by controlling the unhealthy lifestyle and junk food.

Precision medicine

Dr. Manali Joshi, Assistant Professor, Centre for Bioinformatics, Savitribai Phule Pune University, M.S., India delivered a lecture on Precision Medicine with emphasis on Genome and its role in Precision Medicine, basically the key concepts of Pharmacogenomics were explained to the audience. The talk was showed significant contributions of this subject to Bioinformatics and Biological Sciences.

Drug design

Dr. Renu Vyas, Head of School of Bioengineering Sciences and Research, MIT-ADT University, Loni Kalbhor, Pune, M.S., India delivered a lecture in Biological Sciences and showed the inter-alia of informatics with the Biological Sciences with some emphasis on the Artificial intelligence such as computers, ANN and KNN neural networks.

Future health economics and health start-ups

Dr. S.S. Mani Kiran, Professor and Head, Vignan College of Pharmacy, Vadalamudi, A.P. affiliated with JNT University delivered a lecture on Future Health Economics and Health Start-Ups. The talk was very inspiring for the young aspirants to gain success in the field of Health Economics and entrepreneurs. The talk also gave a keys to success and future trends in Health market investments. He gave critical insights for the Pharmacoeconomics in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Natural products as resources in drug discovery

Dr. Amit G. Nerkar delivered a lecture on Natural Products as Resources in Drug Discovery and showed the importance of Pharmacognosy or Medicinal Botany Or Herbal Medicine in field on therapeutics. The talk also shared the technicalities for the drug discovery of Natural Products through various applications and advancement in sciences. His talk was from the area of Chemical Sciences and emphasized the importance of analytical, biological, and genomic pharmacognosy and phytochemistry.

Vote of Thanks

Dr. Amit G.Nerkar, Co-convener for the Webinar gave the Vote of Thanks and acknowledged Shri R.S.Yadav, Hon. President, CAYMET. He also thanked the Convener, co-ordinators, staff and all the speakers for their prompt responses and co-operation for the successful proceedings of this event. Further he acknowledged Ateos Foundation of Science Education and Research, management for sponsoring the Webinar. Seminar concluded with distribution of e-certificates to the delegates and resource persons.
